    Please join the KRCA at the Builders Exchange for a discussion on the use of drones in the roofing industry.  The program will include guest speakers Evan Grarmon of Harpenau Insurance and Drew Duffin of VizionAir.  

    Speaker Bios and Topics

    Evan Garmon

    Evan Garmon is a commercial insurance agent at Harpenau Insurance Agency, LLC in Indiana.  Evan began working for the agency in 2014 after graduating with a degree in insurance and risk management.  His primary focus is working with business that are adopting the use of UAVs by providing comprehensive solutions for an entire insurance package.

    Evan will be discussing the points about the UAV insurance policy that business using UAVs should consider along with the risks associated with using UAVs.  

    Drew Duffin


    Drew Duffin is a commercial UAS operator under FAA Part 107. He is the owner of VizionAir and has operated commercially with drone technology for 4 years (800 flight hours). His UAV technology experience and exploration of various commercial use cases has attracted businesses and organizations from all over the world.  At VizionAir he is the technical lead for all drone related services.  He has worked on projects ranging from construction, mining, oil+gas, real estate, wildlife, and creative services.  He was responsible for UAV site documentation and monitoring of the completed $1.1B Ohio River Bridges project through video and photographic methods, and was recently awarded a contract with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife (KDFWR) to conduct elk herd monitoring in Kentucky.


    Drew will be discussing what contractors should consider when hiring a drone operator and how one would go about setting up their own UAV program.  He will touch briefly on the technology, regulations and safety responsibilities UAV operators follow.
