The KRCA has several types of members and we encourage all contractors to become Certified.
The KRCA also has Associate and Affiliate members. Fees for these categories vary.
Contractor Certification Requirements
In 2001, KRCA began its Certified Contractor Program, which was designed for Contractors who want to set themselves apart from typical roofing companies by setting and living up to higher standards. To become certified, KRCA members must annually:

Provide evidence they carry a minimum of $1 million in Liability insurance.

Post a $10,000 bond, assuring that the contractor is established and that the job promised is the job that will be received. (See sample bond here.)

Attend at least 10 hours of approved continuing education annually; certified contractors are required to stay up to date with various areas of the industry.

Sign and agree to abide by a strict code of ethics.
